The faculty devotional went well this morning, praise God! I wanted to share from the passage in Daniel (Chapters 2-4) that the student government leaders had chosen this year for their theme "out of our minds" (the terminology of which actually comes from II Corinthians 5:13).
Rather than focus on the faithfulness and courage of Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, I chose the thick-headedness and pride of Nebuchadnezzar, as God revealed Himself more and more clearly as Sovereign. To his credit, he did 'wake up' eventually and begin to see his authority in its proper perspective (as assigned by "The One Who gives and takes away")
I closed saying that (though we are not kings) we are no less dependent on God for our authority and effectiveness in working with those He has assigned to our care at ACA.
