Time to do a little bragging for this old dad... The video (of last night's game) shows Tim up with two outs in the top of the 7th, game tied at 3, Michael Moore & Matt Justice on first and second; the single to shallow right field, drove in what ended up being the game-winning RBI; good base-running gave Tim second on the throw to the plate; he later scored on a Zach Hines single to give us our margin of victory in our opener against Monsenior McClancy (from NYC). We face stiff competition the next two games against teams from Virginia Beach & W. Va.
The sub-plot to the week: We have 16 players, who have been assigned rooms with a "captain"... those teams will be competing against each other in a series of contests, the stakes for which are very high; winners get a steak dinner at Coach Filipek's house; the losing foursome will be responsible for carrying the team's equipment (bats, balls, batting helmets, etc.) for the rest of the season!
